PRETTY KOWLOON MARRIAGE
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Kowloon, this afternoon when the Rev. Mr. G. R. Lindsay married Mr. John Sanderson Smith, of Edinburgh, Scotland, to Miss Annie Bertha Peterson, daughter of Mrs. M. Uschman and the late Mr. C. E. F. Peterson.
The bride, who was given away by Mr. H. Seiling, manager of the Oriental Tobacco Factory, was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Sheila Robinson, daughter of Captain and Mrs. Robinson, and Miss Nannie Ypey, daughter of Mr. K. J. Ypey, Marine Superintendent of the A.P.C. and Mrs. Ypey. The bridegroom had for best man Mr. S. D. Begg. of Messrs. Butterfield and Swire.
The bride, who looked charming in white chartreuse trimmed with beaded and lace feathers, with train embroidered with pearl beads, carried a beautiful bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids wore pretty dresses of nile green georgette crepe accordeon pleated dresses, trimmed with satin ribbon. They also wore perry garlands of flowers round their heads and carried dainty baskets of roses. The bride's mother, who wore a becoming plum charmeuse dress trimmed with chinelle, carried a bouquet of violets.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Station Hotel at which the customary toasts were duly honoured.
The honeymoon is being spent at Repulse Bay. The bride's going away dress was of silver grey charmeuse hand-embroidered with black. The bride also wore a black tulle hat
