Looking at the two photos above dated 1930s and 1953, the theatre building looks quite different. Raymond has a good write-up of the theatre on the Cinema Treasures website, but there's no mention of the change in appearance.
Does anyone know if the building was rebuilt or just redecorated between the two photos?
The facade of the Majestic Theatre had redecorated three or four times.
I've added completion / demolition dates using the opening / closing dates from Cinema Treasures:
The address was 360, Nathan Road:
Majestic Theatre (Yau Ma Tei) = 大華戲院
