The Blue Taxis were first put on the road in 1928 plying for hire in Kowloon. After the war, the Company resumed service in August 1946 with a fleet of Hillman 10 H.P. taxis. The fare for the first mile was a dollar compared to 40 cents in 1941. In 1941, the Company had a fleet of 80 taxis.
