Chan Fei was a member of David Loie's Police Reserve group, and was arrested on 3rd June 1943, together with Tin Ying Cheung and Mrs Yeung Sau Tak. They were taken to Gendarmerie HQ in the Supreme Court building where he was tortured by the Japanese, and later transferred to Stanley jail where he was killed.
Extract from Japanese report of Court Martial, October 1943: "The late Chan Fei, with whom Chan Ping Fan was already acquainted, asked him for information about the end of January 1943 concerning the airfield. He promptly gave him information about various installation projects."
