"K.I.T.C. Fete Dr. And Mrs. N.P. Karanjia
A tea party in honour of Dr. and Mrs. N.P. Karanjia, who only recently returned from Bombay where the wedding took place, was given at the Kowloon Indian Tennis Club yesterday afternoon.
The President of the Club, the Committee and members were the hosts.
Dr. and Mrs. Karanjia were presented with two sets of silver cutlery in token of the occasion.
The President of the Club, Mr. Mahan Singh, made the presentation, and, in a short address, recalled Dr. Karanjia’s long association with the Club and wished him and his bride, on behalf of all present, a long and prosperous life.
Others called upon to speak were Mr. A. Khan, Vice-President of the Club, Mr. H. Ruttonjee, Mr. Jahan Dad and Mr. M.R. Deb. Among those present were Dr. C.W. Lam, Dr. Mahan Singh, Mr. R.J. Master and many others.
Dr. Karanjia, who plays bowls for Craigengower, graduated from Hongkong University in 1929."
