  • b 18 June 1900. Educ: Greenhead, Huddersfield. Student Nurse, Royal Free Hospital, London, 1919-24; 
  • joined Army Nursing Service, 1924, Germany (with the Army of Occupation, 1926), also India, Burma, served War of 1939-45, i/e nursing units Hong Kong; 
  • Prisoner of War, 1941-45; War Office, 1946-48; Col, Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps and Deputy Dir Army Nursing Services, 1951-52; 
  • retired 1952. Died 14 Sept. 1986.
