Fine, cold.

Flashes over N.Ts 2-4am.

Repaired suit-case for Olive & bed for Dr. Hackett.

Saw Dr. Hargreaves re eyes.

Indians being withdrawn from posts in N.Ts?

With Steve at St. Steph’s kitchen, Carol Choir practice.

Many rumours re date of repatriation etc.

Who is Belinda?

Geoffrey Emerson's book tells us that 'Belinda' was 'a full-length play'.

I can't find anything with exactly that name but I think it was probably 'Johnny Belinda', a 1940 Broadway production that was made into a film in 1938.

The review here gives the plot and seems to suggest that the play was in fact more about Belinda herself than her son Johnny:
