Hello everyone.
The site of the structure is here: http://goo.gl/maps/OA9D4 (Google Maps street view - Victoria Road, Pok Fu Lam, adjacent to Scenic Villa Drive). On the left in the streetview picture is the road into Scenic Villas. The structure is to the right of that, just down the path that runs down to the ocean (of which the entrance is right by the guard rail. Walking down this path, the structure is visible at about 15-20 metres on the right hand side (going downwards). As you can see from the streetview, the place is not visible from the road (although is visible from the footpath .
The structure is bunker-like in design; almost a square, quite high, and with several rooms. It is totally overgrown with vines and creepers.
I posted several photos I shot over the weekend on my G+ stream. You can see them here:
1. External shot of overgrown structure: https://plus.google.com/u/0/100502220674004893540/posts/317U6rchgvP
2. Internal shot: https://plus.google.com/u/0/100502220674004893540/posts/jPKJ1tfsZxh
I have some other shots as well, but hope this is enough for someone to be able to identify it.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Kind regards
Stephen Frost

Re: Interiorl photo
Hi there,
The interior photo didnlt look military to me, especially that type of iron frame. Looked residential to me. Checking up the concrete might help to date the structure, I think. But you really need some experts.
Was that broken patch on the upper left some sort of brick work?
I have to admit I couldn't catch exactly where is this structure....... But I saw a big wild boar in the nullah down there last time I walked along the junction.

T
Re: The slopes there....
Hi there,
Checked out GeoInfo Map of that junction and the slopes below and found there are lots of land marked up as Cultivations as well as Graves. I now suspect the structure had been in use by previous farmers of sort. However its origins is still uncertain.

Abandoned residence in Victoria Rd, Pok Fu Lam
Thanks, T. That's very useful (although I'm also intersted in the boar sighting - but that's another story... ). I'm going to upload some images so you and others can see it more clearly. I can't seem to get photos to upload in my reply to you so will have to start from scratch I think...
Kind regards
Stephen
Some pictures...
Okay, I've worked out how to do this. Here are four pictures showing more of the house.
Hi Stephen, I've changed this
Hi Stephen, I've changed this page to a 'Place'. If you click the 'edit' tab above you can drag the marker to the correct location to show us where it is.
Could it be one of the buildings that belonged to Dairy Farm? They owned a lot of the land around here.
The Hedda Morrison photos have some good shots of this area taken in 1946-7, so you might get some more clues from them.

Thanks, David
It was my first post, and I wrestled with the system last night and this morning to uploaod the pictures, and was worried the whole time I'd get it wrong... So thanks for sorting it out for me. Much appreciated. It's also my first visit to this site, and it's really hooked me!
I will check Hedda Morrison's photos as suggested. I'm intrigued by this little house now, and want to find out more.
Keep up the great work!
Stephen
