1900s: Benicek writes that he was:

Captain AW Dixon aboard the paddle steamer SS Sainam. Dixon also served as captain of SS Fatshan. A newspaper article I found online describes a pirate attack on the Sainam, in 1906, which Dixon was seriously wounded. I have uploaded them here:

The 1909 & 1910 Jurors lists describe him as Manager of Holt & Co., living at 36 Caine Road.
