George M. Anderson appears in the 1926 Jurors List onwards as a marine surveyor working for Anderson & Ashe, Marine Surveyors and Consulting Engineers. A 1925 advertisement shows George Anderson and T. G. Paterson working for the Company when the business first commenced in Hong Kong.
Born on 4 September 1878 in Denmark. He was present in Hong Kong with his wife, Margaret during the Japanese invasion. They were both interned in Stanley Camp and later repatriated with other Americans to the United States in 1942.
Anderson & Ashe continued to operate and flourish in Hong Kong after the end of the war.
