Barbara Anslow:

[In late 1941] I had an unserious boyfriend - Band Sergeant Arthur Alsey, of the Royal Scots.

Arthur survived the sinking of the Lisbon Maru, and the subsequent years as a POW in Japan.

A poem, written about Arthur has been discovered and the family of the poet want to get it to Arthur's family. Please can you help us?

Thank you

Margaret Martin, Welfare Officer to Java FEPOW club (see our website)

Hi Margaret,

Unfortunately I don't have any contact with the family. I saw you post on the Stanley Camp discussion list today. I suggest you ask there, in case Barbara or another subscriber knows.

Regards, David
