11-13 December 1941, Japanese 38th Division entered Tsim Sha Tsui

In between December 11 and December 13, 1941, after the British and Commonwealth forces withdrew from the mainland after the Gin Drinker’s Line collapsed.

Advance units of the Japanese 38th Division entered Tsim Sha Tsui, seizing control of key sites like the Peninsula Hotel to use as their military headquarters.
