No 52 LADY MAURINE Hung Hom Station 06 1981

KCR diesel No 52 LADY MAURINE at Hung Hom Station 06 1981

Built to a General Motors design in 1954 by the Clyde Engineering Pty. Co.Ltd. Australia, the LADY MAURINE and SIR ALEXANDER were the first two diesel locomotives for the KCR. The two dustbin like structures on the top were silencers added following public complaints about the noise they made when entering service in September1955.
