At Number 35 Barker Road - residence of JB Ipekdjian and Dorothy, a garden full of vegetable, grown by my mom, tomatos, celery, cucumbers.....etc, freshly picked for every meal.
In the left hand upper corner, the retaining wall of number 3, Severn Road, once resided by a famous Hong Kong film producer.Mr. Thomas Tsu Yung Lee (李祖永), attend the Amherst College, produced the "Sorrows of the Forbidden City" movie (Chinese: 清宮秘史) which was a Mandarin Chinese film released in 1948.Eventually he went bankrupt, due to the situation at the time, but all his movies were made with significant investment, the best equipment and acting professionals.
One will never have thought this movie would be included in "The Best 100 Chinese Motion Pictures" by the Hong Kong Film Award in 2 October 2013.
