*Item description from the seller :
Original Hong Kong P.O.W. Association Directories relating to survivors of Japanese captivity in Hong Kong during the Second World War, covering prisoners held between 18 April 1942 and 20 May 1944.
These directories formed part of the working records of the post-war Argyle Street Camp Association, for which Sub-Lt R. D. Lamble (HKRNVR) served as Secretary.
They contain contact details and membership information for former prisoners of the Argyle Street Camp community and represent an important surviving resource documenting the post-war network of Hong Kong POW survivors.
Manuscript annotations to the covers reflect administrative use within the association and add further evidence of their practical role in maintaining communication between former internees.
From the archive of Sub-Lt Roger D. Lamble, Hong Kong Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, captured during the fall of Hong Kong in December 1941.
*Alan Ho's Collection (I purchased this directory from eBay)
