Searchlight at the former Tai O Police Station

Searchlight installed at the southwestern edge of the Tai O Police Station, allowing a search at an almost 270° angle.

A plaque is placed near the searchlight with the following text:

Overlooking the China-Hong Kong boundary, the Tai O Police Station was a vantage point of surveillance. To maintain law and order at sea, the police installed a searchlight here which allowed the night duty officer to illuminate the surrounding Chinese waters and the Tai O village, watching for any illegal activities or pirates.
