This short-lived hotel was located at the former site of the Hong Kong Daily Press before the war. It was opened in 1951 and demolished to build the current 19-storied Thai Kong building which was completed in 1966.
According to news announcement in 1950, it was supposed to be a 9-storied building but it was only 5-stored when it was completed.
