Aerial photo, 1924, shows Kowloon Tong Garden City Estate under construction on the right

The shape on the left-hand side of Kowloon Tong Garden City Estate is similar to an hourglass.

Construction started two years earlier in 1922.
The semi-circle shape of Essex Crescent can be seen, starting to take form.  Many houses have been built but as at 1924, the top areas of the Estate look to be untouched.

Cockpit instruments are barely visible on the left-hand side.
Photo taken by an aircraft from the seaplane carrier H.M.S. Pegasus during a Hong Kong aerial survey done in 1924.
