#21 Broadwood Road has been one of the lesser known and therefore more mysterious houses in this road, so it's great to have this recreation to give us a better idea. You could almost believe it's still there.
We're looking end-on at the building. The front was on the left and it was bowed, not as shown here. I imagine the door on the right was the rear door for access to the servants' quarters.
For some reason this was one house which didn't look down on the racecourse from the front.
Perhaps those with memories of being there could clarify how accurate this depiction is.
This crop of moddsey's 1920s Happy Valley Racecourse 1 picture taken from the same angle shows the curved front of the villa, as well as the apse at this end. It looks to have had a more ornate balustrade and three chimneys, not two as the enhancement shows.
