There are lots of people gathering around it. [Note the large number of ships in the harbour.] Could also be the predecessor of Hong Kong Cricket Clubhouse (1st location: N) [????-1904]. The hulk on the right in HMS Victor Emmanuel. The ship arrived in Hong Kong in December 1874, this limits the date of the photo. There is a similar photo taken by W. P. Floyd from 1873 (source).
