I think in the distance on the left, the faint outline of Hong Kong Island can be seen. Likely on a hillock at Whitfield Barracks. The warehouses of Kowloon Wharves below facing Canton Road. The soldiers appear to be looking northwest towards the Kowloon Naval Yard. See here
