My mother's family, the Ellerys, arrived in Hong Kong from Shanghai in 1946, whereupon my grandfather got a job with Kowloon Docks. They lived at both Cameron Road and at Havelock Terrace in Kowloon Docks (I don't know in which order) between 1946-1958. I don't know exactly when this photo of my mother was taken, but circa 1950. My guess is that this was on their balcony at Havelock Terrace and that that is the Whampoa Foundry in the background. Not the best view, but probably better than what they had in the internment camp in Shanghai. Can anyone confirm this please?
