Postcard is dated 2nd July (I am assuming 1924) and says "My dear Mildred, I'm told that there is a mail leaving VIA SIBERIA so I thought I'd gladden your heart with a p.c. I've not yet got the hang of the mails, but I don't think they are at all regular. I've not had any more news since I arrived and got your letter. We had a holiday yesterday for some reason or other, but I didn't do anything special."
I know 1st July is now SAR Establishment Day in Hong Kong, but not sure what the public holiday would have been in 1924 on that date.

This photo seems to pre-dateā¦
There is a mass of rickshaws as the preferred mode of transport. This photo seems to pre-date the Star Ferry bus terminus in Kowloon so earlier than 1921.
