Photo held in the online collection of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland ([Photo.22/(009)] Panoramic view of Hong Kong in two sheets - Royal Asiatic Society Online Collections). Uploaded to Gwulo with kind permission of the Royal Asiatic Society.
The photographer is unknown.
The right part of the panorama, likely taken from (or nearby) Scandal Point (A portion of the view at the bottom right-hand corner is missing). The date is likely 1875. (see explanation in part 1).
The second part of the panorama shows the intact praya and harbour including e.g. Douglas Wharf. As the praya was almost completely destroyed in the 1874 Typhoon, the reconstruction surely needed several months and was likely completed at some time in 1875.
[I tried to combine both parts for a complete panorama, but failed as the second part doesn't really fit.]
