This photo of Broadview Villa, the current no. 20 Broadwood Road, was taken by my cousin, Geoffrey Warren in 1997 when he revisited Hong Kong in 1997 in an attempt to find the site of our grandfather's house, The Towers. I too trod this path in 2004 and was greeted by guard dogs and security staff when I tried to peek around the back of the building. I wasn't convinced that this was the precise site of The Towers and climbed up into the jungle above the building, home to the graves in Mount Caroline Cemetery.
