1959 - Happy Valley Racecourse

It is interesting to see the development that has taken place over the 6 year period. To note two very obvious changes, my attention is drawn to the Jockey Club grandstand extensions; and Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church, on the opposite side of the racecourse, has, by 1959, been almost entirely obscured from view by a building that has popped up in front of it. Other Gwulo colleagues will of course notice far more changes than the two that jumped out at me.
