I'm glad they kept the market, but the monstrosity now behind it has completely changed the area. I should be used to it by now...

Hi Phil,

The site is now run by the Hong Kong Lutheran Service as a partner, of a museum of sort.  There is a restaurant (a Bristol it claimed), a cafe, some local farm shops inside.  They have reserved the eastern wing as an exhibition of how the market looked like (modernized of course).

The restaurant is having an up-beat but affordable western menu, which make use of the original stalls as sitting booths.  Will have to try it before we are able to determine if it lives up to the 'Bristol' standard.

Let's hope the business model lasts.
