The postcard description on the message side reads: On the date of the 6th of June every year, Dragon Boat Races are held to commemorate a poet/statesman named Chu Yuen, who drowned himself on the 5th day of the 5th month during the 3rd century B.C.; thereby hoping that, by doing so, he could force a ruler, who had ignored his advice, to reform.
