The photo commemorates the christening of my cousin, Geoffrey Beal Warren, invisible among his christening robes, but well protected from the August sun. His mother Cicely Warren is on the left. Holding the baby is an unknown friend of Cicely's. On the right is Mrs. Ellen Whiteley, Geoffrey's godmother and the Warrens' neighbour at 16 Broadwood Road.
