In 1977 and 1978, The Catholic school Precious Blood Golden Jubilee Secondary School was involved in a corruption scandal. The headmistress was sent to jail as a result. The conflict between whistle-blower teachers, students and school administration became major news in Hong Kong. University students also took part in protests. Government had to set up an investigation committee which resulted in the "Report of the Precious Blood Golden Jubilee Secondary School Incident Investigation Committee"
