Nixon Leung, Co-Convenor, Ricci Hall Archives Conservation and Acquisition Project (RHACAP), Hong Kong University, took this photo of the Sai Wan Memorial focusing on the names of the two Reed brothers, Arthur and Edgar. Nixon first contacted me in August, 2017 for additional information and photos regarding two of my uncles, Arthur and Stephen Reed, who attended HKU and were two of the earliest Riccians. The University lost six alumni in the war. Each year, Nixon and a group of his fellow Riccians visit the Sai Wan Memorial and the graves at Stanley Military Cemetery to honor these men. Nixon and his group also made a special trip to Club de Recerio where he took a photo of the memorial in front of the club's entrance. There are plaques on the walls of Ricci Hall commemorating those six men at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 10 February, 2020, that also marked the 90th anniversary of Ricci Hall. Nixon has shared photos of Arthur and Stephen taken at the University as well as other information about the Reed brothers, and we are still in touch. I'm grateful for the photos he took of the memorials and the graves of Stephen and Francis Reed at Stanley Military Cemetery.
