News report in 華字日報 says:
At 12:00 noon on September 19, 1907, Zhang Renjun 張人駿 officially landed at Blake pier in Central, and was welcomed by a guard of honor. Then Zhang Renjun took a sedan chair to the residence of the Commander-in-Chief of the British Army in Hong Kong to visit Major-General Robert Broadwood,, and then went to the Governor House to have lunch with the governor and his wife. At 3:00 p.m., Zhang Renjun was invited to attend the banquet held by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, during which both Feng Huachuan and Zhang Renjun delivered speeches at the banquet. At 8:00 p.m., Zhang Renjun left Hong Kong on the original ship and arrived in Guangzhou the next day to take office as governor of Guangtung and Guangxi.
