The Neon Sign had since been changed to Panasonic since the 1990's. Some say the building management rent out the sign space and the $$$ received was sufficient to cover building maintenance in the past. Not sure about it in the present day though.

A commercial postcard. The neon sign was atop Elizabeth House, Gloucester Road, Wanchai. In front was the cargo handling basin for barges.

Given the green text on the "Lucas" neon sign, I'd assume it was for the British automotive components manufacturer.
