On the left one can see the Astor theatre and the rest area north of it. On the right Alhambra Building and the Blue Taxi Co. It has to be early 60s before the Blue Taxis was replaced by the Kowloon Central Post Office building.

Nathan Road Near Gascoigne Road
Thanks simtang for the photo. I remember there were two trees, smaller than those further south, by the curb about midway between the man with an umbrella and the National sign. I usually walked on the west side of Nathan Road to avoid the hot sun. For the few times I walked on the east side, these trees were there in the 1950s then one day they were there no more.
