The Methodist College (secondary) was established in 1958. This picture shows the opening ceremony (啟鑰禮) of Methodist College attended by Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Robert Black, K.C.M.G . The motorcade of the governor was going uphill to the college on the right (out of picture).  The Methodist school (primary) and the Methodist church were on the left. The Methodist school (primary) next to the church was established in 1951. The building downhill was at the junction of Gascoigne road and Pak Hoi street. The Astor theater was just out of the picture.

Downhill at the northwest corner of Mau Lam st-Chi Wo st junction, one can see the sign 百老匯酒店 (broadway hotel) on top of a tall building. It can be found on this 1960 map but no other information can be found on the internet.

The Broadway Hotel was located at 2-6 Chi Wo Street. In 1971, the site and I think the building after refurbishment became the Fortuna Court Hotel, an annex to the Fortuna Hotel on Nathan Road.

Picture of the Gascoigne-Nathan junction with Gascoigne flyover under construction in the early 1970s. Flyover was opened in 1977. The Broadway Hotel probably was a cheap "family hotel" like the Nathan hotel before major reconstruction.
