1956 riot at Shek Kip Mei estate. One can see the Mei Ho House was decorated with big "double ten" signs because October 10 is the national day of the former Republic of China ruled by the Kuomingtang (Chinese Nationalist Party), exiled in Taiwan after 1949. The riot was caused by the removal of the Republic of China flag by the police.
