David, I was certainly surprised to see this photo that you found in The Hongkong Telegraph, a publication I do not recall.  I have of course seen the actual photo in the family album, but was not aware until now that it was included in that paper, thanks to you!  For the record, I am standing front row center on the stage, behind the two boys sitting on the edge of the stage.

Thanks for pointing out your whereabouts Angela - it's not like there is a giant foam finger pointing at the birthday girl isn't it from the photo? Do you still remember the party after all these years?

The Rosary Church was well situated as there was a sizeable number of Portuguese extract families living on Kimberley Road and nearby streets. This area was where my Dad, aunt and uncle grew up at this time and they had a number of lovely Portuguese friends and neighbours.

I don't remember too much about that party, but can identify most of the guests from the photo I have, with a bit of help from a few friends.  I am still in touch with several of my classmates, friends and relatives who were there.  My mother's guest list covered quite a wide range of ages!

Thanks again, David, for your interest and help in finding this photo as well as pertinent information about my father and his brothers.
