Photos acquired by Sir Bosdin Thomas Leech and Lady Leech of Manchester, during their round-the-world trip in 1901.
The reclamation work in this area (east of Pottinger Street) looks already finished, so the date should be 1899 or 1900.
We have this photo on Gwulo already, but this one is clearer, especially regarding mid-levels.
