The work was overseen by Edgar de Chaffoy, my grandfather. The timing and investment was truly terrible!

This photo was taken from one of the balconies on the factory building, looking north up Nathan Road. The new shop buildings are under construction on the strip of land between the line of the factory building wall and the eastern edge Nathan Road.
