1956-10-14 Hunghom market 紅磡街市 curfew lifted. There was a riot on 1956-10-10, the National Day of China before 1949 under the Kuomintang regime. The market itself was on the left which was selling raw meat like beef and pork while those hawkers outside were selling fish, vegetable, fruits, clothes etc. It was looking east from the Walker road-Bulkeley street junction. The far end of the market was Gilles road.
