I found this photograph with the markings as above " The impact of the Typhoon of September 1874.......

It doesn't look like this is the Basel Mission building on High Street Sai Ying Pun.

The handwriting on the photo says "St. Stephens College". There is place named St Stephens College (1st Location) [c.1903-c.1924] that looks like your building:

That means also the date is incorrect.

On the page for St Stephens College (1st Location) [c.1903-c.1924], Herostratus notes that "The school initially used the Balls court building".
