Hong Kong Wah Yan College School buildings throughout history 1920
The building, 60 Hollywood Road, remains intact to this day. Located at the site of the Kwong Lee Chung Sugarcane Market, it is a pre-war European-style building listed as a Grade II historic building in Hong Kong.
At its inception, at this building, it had four students.
Peter also rented 54 Peel Street for an expanded class, and moved to 33 Moor Street during the summer holidays. Peter Tsui 徐仁壽 further invited Mr. Andrew Lim 林海瀾, a former colleague of St. Joseph, to co-found the school.
Due to the school's outstanding achievements, the Education Department approved Wah Yan as a government-subsidized privately run Chinese school.
