In the 1980s Victoria Park was the venue for the Hash House Harriers to race their self-propelled pedal carts built by teams.

Clearing out old files I came across these images

I have no idea if such events still exist in the present years.

Also in the park, there was very noisy motorised go-kart racing events of which I have photographs somewhere. Presumably an event no more at the park location.
