Brian Gates is attempting to rid his bed frame of the bed bugs that plagued us all. It was said that they came to Little Sai Wan from the old Lyemun camp along with the old bed fames and mattresses.  We usually set fire to the metal bed frames with cigarette lighter fuel (petrol?) and that worked for a while, but you couldn't do that with the mattresses.  I suspect that the commissioned officers and senior non commissioned officers were issued with new bed fames and mattresses - no bugs for them!  (Andrew S)
