In 1951, the only building at Little Sai Wan was the techical block that had a date stone for 1950. The smaller building beyond it and to the left is almost certainly a pre-war building used by the Royal Signals. Two tall aerial masts are just visible just above centre right. They probably dated from pre-war days and would have supported a horizontal aerial. These masts were soon to be demolished as being in the way of the proposed airmen's Mess and N.A.A.F.I..
