Quarry Bay Gas Holder 1980's

After the closure of Taikoo Dockyards, reclamation started and the area was developed into housing estates.

However, obiously there was a need to keep this gas holder in operation. I cropped four aerial photos from HKMS2.0 (see https://gwulo.com/atom/30624) and arranged them in one. The gas holder can easily be seen in between the high rise buildings. Between March and September 1986, it was demolished. North of it, four smaller tanks are visible, they were removed later.
