Bullet from Jan 1945 raid on Stanley

The text reads:

In January 1945 this bullet head was fired from a USAF aircraft into the Stanley Internment Camp in Hong Kong during an air-raid on the camp. The Americans were not aware that it was a POW camp and dropped bombs that killed 16 prisoners. Two planes collided and crashed with one survivor taken prisoner by the Japanese.

This bullet was retrieved by my father Clifton Large from a sand bank and used as a centre punch in his tool box for many years after the end of the war.
