I'm not sure whether these pigs had just arrived or were about to depart. They were on the praya close to the ferry pier. Is this form of transport still used?
I haven't seen pigs transported like this in Hong Kong, but we did see them in China around twenty years ago.
We were cycling along when a lorry passed by with a stack of pigs in baskets on the back. One of the baskets must have been left open, as further along we met a dazed-looking pig in the road. Then we saw the lorry rushing back, at which point the pig came to his senses and made his escape, pursued by men from the lorry!

Hi David
Hi David
That reminds me of the rhyme told to infants when 'counting' their toes - "This little piggie went to market ..."
