Greetings Dave, I think along the same line after looking at current Google photos. I believed Mike crossed the road from his 27 LaSalle home to take this photo. Further up the ground was higher and appeared to have been recently cleared of vegetation and graded for (eventually today's) soccer stadium, hence the source of the mud.
