Is that the LRC (Ladies Recreation Club) in the foreground ? If so, the pinkish high building in the centre is perhaps on the site of what was Douglas Apartments - my home for 7 years in the 1970's.
Things certainly have changed. The path to The Peak was directly behind Douglas Apartments and there was also a favourite 'doggie' walk behind Douglas to Luginsland

- and having the same landlord we shared the squash courts, sauna and pool. Luginsland being he tallest building with Douglas Apartments to the right.
The Pink Buildings (Destiny Court) are in front of Douglas, The 3 in the front are on the site of Victoria Lodge, and the 2 behind are on the site of Friston and Balmacara.
The 4 buildings that replaced Douglas and Luginsland are hidden.
As an aside, where were the pool, sauna and Squash Courts?, they weren't there in the early '70s.
The squash court, sauna and pool were (if my aging memory is correct) at Luginsland and available to Douglas residents because, I believe, HK Land owned both properties.
Pool was outdoors and the area beautifully floodlit at night both above and below water.
Squash was bookable with a nominal 1 or 2 dollar charge to one's staff debtor account. The ceiling, as I remember, sloped steeply towards the back i.e., behind the player so was a bit low for serious play.

Re: LRC
Yes LRC is in the foreground. See here for a photo of the same area from 1978.

Hi marlowe - and thanks for that.
I was in Douglas until June 1978.

Sauna was OK - small, but unisex ..... ;-)
